Tuna Pickle Pretzel Sandwiches

Ingredients

  • 1 Can Safe Catch Elite Tuna (DO NOT DRAIN)
  • One 5 oz. Bag of your favorite pretzels, mini style (I used Fit Joy brand)
  • Dill Pickle Chips
  • 2 Tbsp Mayo
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard
  • 1 Tbsp Dried Minced Onion
  • 1 tsp Dried or Fresh Dill
  • 1 tsp Pickle Juice
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Tools you'll need

  • Bowl
  • Measuring Spoons
  • Spoon
  • Fork

Instructions

  • Lay out as many pretzels as you would like to make for your sandwiches – keep in mind that you will need two pretzels per sandwich. *Parent Note: this is a great and simple “helper task” for your little one while you prepare the tuna salad.
  • Prepare your tuna topper by opening your Safe Catch Elite Tuna and flaking it in the can with a fork.
  • Next, add the tuna, mayo, mustard, pickle juice, and seasonings to the bowl and combine.
  • Use a 1 tsp measuring spoon to scoop a heaping pile of tuna onto each pretzel.
  • Lay a pickle chip on top of your tuna.
  • Finish by placing another pretzel on top of your sandwich – and that’s it – you have your own tuna pickle pretzel sandwiches! Enjoy!

SERVING SUGGESTION

In this recipe, I used 1 Can of Safe Catch Elite Tuna plus one 5 oz. bag of pretzels to make 35 tuna pickle pretzel sandwiches. Eat right away to prevent pretzels from getting soggy. If you use all of the tuna salad right away, you can store the extra tuna salad in an air-tight container in the fridge and make them as needed.
